Matt Clark
Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer, Investment Banking

Mr. Clark is a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer within BTIG’s Investment Banking Group. Prior to joining BTIG, Mr. Clark was a Managing Director of Corporate and Venture Services at ThinkEquity Partners LLC, where he developed a venture capital community calling effort for the execution of private and public capital market transactions. Previously, Mr. Clark ran the Special Equities Group at Silicon Valley Bank Securities (SVB), where he served as a Managing Director and drove the development of a broker-dealer platform to service all the capital markets needs of the bank’s client base. Previously, he was a Managing Director responsible for the Special Situations desk at Banc of America Securities, where he managed all transactions originating out of firm-wide Private Equity/Venture Capital coverage efforts across the Global Commercial Investment Bank (GCIB). Mr. Clark has over 20 years of experience managing transactions for growth companies. He received his B.A. in history from UC Berkeley.

David Fullerton
Managing Director, Head of Equity-Linked Capital Markets

Mr. Fullerton is a Managing Director and Head of Equity-Linked Capital Markets within BTIG's Investment Banking Group. He leads the firm's convertible capital markets activities, and manages BTIG’s relationship with energy and financial clients. Prior to joining BTIG, Mr. Fullerton was a Managing Director at JMP Securities, where he built the firm's convertible, registered direct and private capital markets businesses and was a member of their Commitment Committee. Previously, he held similar positions at Piper Jaffray and Robertson Stephens. Mr. Fullerton has completed more than 80 private and public equity, convertible and 144A offerings, and has raised more than $2.5 billion in new funding for corporate clients in a wide variety of industries. Earlier in his career, he was responsible for Bank of America's U.S. Agency and Mortgage-Back Trading Desks, and Institutional and Retail Fixed Income Sales Groups. Mr. Fullerton started his career at Bank of America in the U.S. corporate credit and lending divisions. He is a graduate of Princeton University and has an M.B.A. in finance from MIT.

Ansel Hall
Managing Director, Head of Consumer Investment Banking

Mr. Hall is a Managing Director and Head of BTIG's Consumer Investment Banking Group. Mr. Hall has over 25 years of investment banking experience working with emerging growth companies across several industry sectors. Most recently, he co-founded two consumer companies, a business in the automobile dealer industry and a personal care consumer product company for which he later initiated and completed the sale of the business. Previously, Mr. Hall founded and led the Business Services Investment Banking Group for JMP Securities, and was a member of the firm's Equity Commitment Committee. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hall founded and led a Consumer Products Group for Montgomery Securities, where he also completed transactions for a variety of retailing and other consumer companies. He was also Principal in the Technology/Emerging Growth Companies Group at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Hall received his M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from the University of California at Los Angeles, and his B.S. with Honors from the University of California at Davis.

Dennis King
Managing Director, Debt Capital Markets, Investment Banking

Mr. King is a Managing Director of Debt Capital Markets within BTIG's Investment Banking Group. Prior to joining BTIG, he led the distress-for-control investment business at Platinum Equity. Previously, Mr. King was a Senior Vice President at Octavian Advisors, a special situations hedge fund. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Vice President in the Global Principal Strategies (GPS) proprietary trading group at Lehman Brothers, where he led several direct private equity and special situations investments. Prior to GPS, Mr. King was an investment banker in the firm's M&A Group, focused on financial sponsor and leveraged finance transactions. He also held a similar role at Credit Suisse. Mr. King received his A.B. in near eastern languages and civilizations from Harvard College, and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Colin Knudsen
Managing Director, Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Investment Banking

Mr. Knudsen is a Managing Director within BTIG’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications Investment Banking Group. Prior to BTIG, he was a Co-Founder and Vice Chairman of Coady Diemar Partners, a boutique M&A and private capital advisory firm. Earlier in his career, Mr. Knudsen served as a Managing Director within the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Investment Banking Groups at Credit Suisse, and as a Managing Director within the Media and Communications Group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ), where he served for nearly 20 years. He also served as Co-Head of the Internet Infrastructure/Data Services groups of both firms, and was a member of the Investment Committees of the DLJ New Economy Fund and the DLJ Fund of Funds. Mr. Knudsen was a two-time recipient of DLJ’s Super Achiever Award. He earned an M.B.A. from Columbia University, and an undergraduate degree in international relations from Brown University.

Marko Kozul, M.D.
Managing Director, Healthcare Investment Banking

Marko Kozul is a Managing Director within BTIG’s Healthcare Investment Banking Group. He has more than 15 years of experience within the biotechnology industry. Prior to BTIG, Dr. Kozul was a Vice President and Head of Strategy at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals. Previously, he spent more than a decade as a Biotechnology Research Analyst at Leerink Partners, ThinkEquity and Jefferies. As an analyst, Dr. Kozul’s coverage spanned across a broad range of therapeutic areas, including oncology, infectious disease, rare disease, and advanced emerging technologies such as nucleic acids and gene therapies. He earned a BS in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Michigan, and an M.D. from the School of Medicine at International University of the Health Sciences.

Charles Mather, CFA
Managing Director, Head of Capital Markets Origination and Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets

Mr. Mather is a Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets Origination and Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets within BTIG's Investment Banking Group. Prior to joining BTIG, he was the Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets and Head of the Private and Alternative Capital Group at Janney Montgomery Scott. Previously, he served as Managing Director and Head of the Structured Equity Group at Jefferies. Earlier in his career, Mr. Mather was with Cowen and Company for ten years, where he led the Private Equity Group. He also held senior investment and investment banking positions at Smith Barney Inc. and Prudential Investment Corporation. Mr. Mather has completed advisory and financing assignments for more than 100 companies. He received an M.B.A. in finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and an A.B. from Brown University. Mr. Mather is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Stephen Ortiz
Managing Director, Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets and Head of Syndicate

Mr. Ortiz is a Managing Director, Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets and Head of Syndicate within BTIG's Investment Banking Group. Prior to joining BTIG, he spent 14 years as Head of Equity Capital Markets and Syndicate at JMP Securities. Previously, Mr. Ortiz held equity capital markets roles at Banc of America Securities and Montgomery Securities including Managing Director and U.S. Head of Equity Syndicate and Equity Capital Markets. He began his capital markets career with roles at Hambrecht & Quist and Wedbush Morgan. Mr. Ortiz received his B.A. in political science from UC Berkeley.

Gene Ramirez
Managing Director, Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Investment Banking
Mr. Ramirez is a Managing Director within BTIG's TMT Investment Banking Group. With over 20 years of industry experience, he has a strong combination of investment banking, operational and strategic expertise. Before joining BTIG, he was Head of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Group at Morgan Joseph TriArtisan. Previously, Mr. Ramirez held various management positions at Robertson Stephens & Co. in San Francisco, California, and Southwest Securities in Dallas, Texas. He has founded two software companies, one of which was sold to Oracle in 2002. Mr. Ramirez has advised technology clients on more than 80 public and private financings, and mergers and acquisitions, representing over $10 billion in transaction value. He has advised a broad spectrum of technology companies over the last 20 years, and has a deep background in the technology industry, primarily focused on growth companies. Mr. Ramirez received an M.B.A. with a concentration in entrepreneurship from the Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, and a B.A. in economics with a specialization in finance from the University of Texas at Austin.

Romeo Reyes
Managing Director, Debt Capital Markets, Investment Banking
Romeo Reyes is a Managing Director of Debt Capital Markets within BTIG Investment Banking. He has nearly 25 years of investment banking and high-yield research experience, providing coverage of communications service providers, media and emerging technology companies. Prior to BTIG, Mr. Reyes was Americas Head of Communications, Cable and Satellites Investment Banking at Jefferies, where he was previously Director of Global Leveraged Finance Research. Earlier in his career, he was an Executive Director and Senior High-Yield Analyst at UBS. Mr. Reyes held similar roles at Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs. Mr. Reyes earned his BA in economics from Harvard University.

Mark Secrest
Managing Director, Healthcare Investment Banking

Mr. Secrest is a Managing Director within BTIG's Healthcare Investment Banking Group, focused on medical devices, life sciences tools and diagnostics companies. He has over 25 years of investment banking experience, most recently as a Managing Director and Head of Medical Devices M&A within the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Stifel. Prior to Stifel, Mr. Secrest served in a number of roles at Cowen between 1998 and 2010, including Head of Medical Technology M&A and Chairman of the Fairness Opinion Review Committee. Between 1995 and 1998, he was a Director within the M&A Group at UBS Securities. At UBS, Mr. Secrest was instrumental in the development and growth of a start-up M&A effort, and a member of the group responsible for the execution of the firm’s M&A assignments involving North American clients outside of financial institutions. He began his career in the M&A Group at Kidder, Peabody. Mr. Secrest holds a B.A. from Stanford University, and an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at New York University.

K.C. Stone
Managing Director, Head of Healthcare Investment Banking

Mr. Stone is a Managing Director and Head of BTIG's Healthcare Investment Banking Group. Previously, he was Managing Director and Head of Life Science Investment Banking at Wedbush-PacGrow. Mr. Stone has a long history of working with emerging growth companies from seed-stage to publicly traded institutions, and with the investors who fund them. He led the effort to finance and provide advisory services to numerous public and private companies through his previous roles as Managing Director of the Private Placement Groups at Wedbush-PacGrow and Pacific Growth Equities. At Pacific Growth, Mr. Stone was a Senior Managing Director and Partner, and sat on the Executive and Commitment Committees. Prior to Pacific Growth, he ran the Venture Capital Services Group at Volpe Brown Whelan & Company. Mr. Stone has served on the Board of Directors of The Guardsmen, a San Francisco-based charitable organization that funds access to high-quality educational and outdoor activities for inner-city youth, and currently sits on the Board of Trustees for California Pacific Medical Center Foundation and on the Board of Governors of the Wine & Food Society of San Francisco. He graduated from the University of Colorado - Leeds School of Business.

Douglas Sumick
Managing Director, Investment Banking

Mr. Sumick is a Managing Director within BTIG’s Investment Banking Group. Prior to joining the firm’s Investment Banking Group, he was Head of the Interest Rate Sales and Trading Desk. Previously, Mr. Sumick was a Vice President within the Interest Rate Derivative Trading and Agency (GSE) Trading Groups at Morgan Stanley. As a manager within the Agency Trading Group, he was responsible for advising, underwriting and syndicating agency debt issuers. Earlier in his career, he was a Director within the U.S. Interest Rate Trading Group at TD Securities, responsible for developing derivative trading strategies and acting as a market maker. Mr. Sumick also held a similar role as a Director within the Interest Rate Group at Mizuho Securities. He received his B.A. in finance from the University of Delaware.

Gregory Wade, Ph.D.
Managing Director, Healthcare Investment Banking

Dr. Wade is a Managing Director within BTIG's Healthcare Investment Banking Group. He has over 20 years of experience working with entrepreneurs in the biotechnology industry. Prior to joining BTIG, Dr. Wade was Head of Business Development at Pharmacyclics Inc., where he led the company's in-licensing activities and contributed to market research, strategy and competitive intelligence efforts. Previously, he spent 15 years in healthcare equity research, most recently as Managing Director at Wedbush PacGrow LifeSciences, the successor to Pacific Growth Equities. As an Equity Research Analyst, his coverage spanned nearly 60 companies across a diverse set of therapeutic areas including anti-infective, drug/device combinations, central nervous system, gastrointestinal, orthopedics oncology, pain, rare diseases and vaccines. Earlier in his career, Dr. Wade held roles in business development at Isis Pharmaceuticals and Procyon BioPharma. He was also an Associate at Helix Investments Canada Inc., while simultaneously undertaking his doctoral research at the University of Western Ontario, where he earned his Ph.D. in physiology and Honors B.S. in medical biophysics. Dr. Wade serves on the Investment Committee of Canada's Healthcare Accelerator, Accel-Rx, and Clinical Advisory Board of the Center for Drug Research and Development.

Anthony Wayne
Managing Director, Head of Real Estate Investment Banking

Mr. Wayne is a Managing Director and Head of BTIG's Real Estate Investment Banking Group. Before joining BTIG, he was in the real estate investment banking group at JMP Securities for 13 years, most recently as a Managing Director. Previously, Mr. Wayne was a member of the real estate investment banking groups at Lehman Brothers and UBS in San Francisco, California. He has advised real estate clients on more than 170 public and private financings and mergers and acquisitions, representing over $35 billion in transaction value, including more than 50 on a bookrun or exclusive advisory basis. Mr. Wayne received a B.A. in economics from Pitzer College, a Member of the Claremont Colleges.
